김병필

KAIST 기술경영학부 초빙교수

김병필 교수는 서울대학교 전기공학부를 졸업하고, 사법연수원 수료 후 법무법인(유한) 태평양에서 국제상사분쟁 및 해외투자 업무를 담당하였다. KAIST 기술경영학부에서는 기업 경영과 관련된 다양한 법적 쟁점에 대해 강의하고 있는데, 최근에는 “인공지능 경영과 법” 과목을 개설하였다. 법과 기술이 다면적으로 상호작용하는 영역에 관심이 많다. 특히 인공지능 기술의 윤리적 활용, 데이터 보호 및 프라이버시 규제, 인공지능 기술을 적용한 법률 서비스 및 컴플라이언스 업무에 관해 연구하고 있다. 현재 한국인공지능법학회 총무이사로 활동하면서 다양한 정책적 쟁점에 관한 자문 활동도 수행하고 있다.

Byoung-Pil Kim is a Practice Professor at the School of Business and Technology Management in KAIST, teaching business laws for entrepreneurs. His research area encompasses various aspects of the interaction between the law and technologies, with focus on AI and law, AI ethics and regulations on data protection. Prof. Kim currently serves as the Director of the Korean Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law. Before he joins KAIST, he was a partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC.
