서울대학교 법학전문대학원 부교수

임용 교수는 서울대학교 법과대학을 졸업하고 하버드 로스쿨에서 S.J.D.를 취득하였다. 사법시험 합격 후 2003년부터 김앤장 법률사무소에서 경쟁법, 기업 인수합병 등 다양한 분야에서 변호사로 활동하였고, 서울대학교에 부임한 후 공정거래, 경쟁, 소비자보호, IT, 데이터와 인공지능 등의 관련 법정책 분야를 연구하고 강의하고 있다. 2018.6월부터 2020.5월까지 법학전문대학원 학생부원장을 역임하였고, 현재 한국경쟁법학회, 한국법경제학회, 한국인공지능법학회 등의 임원으로 활약하고 있다.

Yong is an Associate Professor at Seoul National University, School of Law. His areas of specialty include antitrust & competition, consumer protection, information technology law, data and A.I. law. Yong graduated from Seoul National University, College of Law, and obtained his S.J.D. at Harvard Law School. Prior to joining academia, Yong practiced law at Kim & Chang in Seoul, Korea, where he was a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition, Private Equity and Venture Capital, and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Groups. Yong was SNU Law’s Associate Dean of Student Affairs until May, 2020, and currently serves as the Managing Director of the Korean Association of Economic Law.
